Execution vs Resolution
In the classical paradigm, execution is a temporal transformation: an instruction produces a subsequent state.
In CROSS-OS, the system is described as a set of simultaneous constraints. Behavior emerges when these constraints are coherently resolved. There is no flow — there is configuration.
Non-linear time
Because there is no command sequence, CROSS-OS operational time is not necessarily linear. Dependencies do not define order, but a global compatibility structure.
Control vs Coherence
Control presupposes an agent imposing actions. Coherence presupposes a structure stabilizing itself. CROSS-OS belongs to the second paradigm.
Computational ontology
In CROSS-OS, processes are not dynamic entities, but solvable configurations. The system does not “do” something: it is something when it is coherent.
